Probably the best apartment I've ever lived in. I lived there for close to 6 years and only moved out because I had to move out of state. The location is also perfect, it's about a 6-7 minute walk to downtown and Caltrain and very close to the airport and also very easy to get to San Francisco towards the north and Mountain View/Palo Alto/San Jose etc. towards the south.
Debbie and Ryan are awesome managers. The maintenance staff are friendly and any maintenance requests are resolved promptly, usually within a few hours of the request if made during office hours. I had absolutely zero problems living there, can't think of a single complaint.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone that's looking for one. I'm going to definitely miss living there.

Great views from the apartment - especially on higher floors. Maintenance folks are responsive. Been living here for the past 3 years and I don't have any complaints, except perhaps that the homes get quite warm in the summer, but that's only really a problem on a few days during the year.

I've lived in De Sabla for over 5 years & feel lucky to call this apartment complex home. The management team is fantastic, the rates are competitive & the views from the upper floors are amazing.
Debbie, the manager, and the rest of the team are friendly and professional, and always take care of things quickly. Most tenants have been here a long time, so everyone is friendly and respectful.
The location is very walkable: 2 blocks from Caltrain, 2 blocks from the library, 3 blocks from the center of downtown San Mateo and right at the edge of Hillsborough.
The apartments themselves are very quiet and we've never had problems with noise. The units all have large floor to ceiling windows and great views of the surrounding area. The bathrooms are a bit outdated, which might be negative for some folks, but they are perfectly functional.

I'm sad to leave De Sabla Apartments. This was my best renting experience ever. The apartment manager is amazing. The apartment is located right across the street from Downtown San Mateo and Caltrain. It's clean and the apartments are spacious and nice. I highly recommend.

I have lived at De Sabla Apartments, in the same one-bedroom unit, since 2006. I love it!! The management is outstanding, the building and units are wonderfully cared for, it is located near downtown San Mateo, with restaurants, public library, CalTrain, etc., within walking distance. It is safe. The manager, Debbie, and staff are THE BEST!!! Kudos!
